In a separate diplomatic push, US, Ukrainian and European officials met in Miami to try to shape a common plan to end Russia's war before winter, while Ukraine said its Operation Vivaldi had disrupted a Russian plan to encircle the remaining Ukrainian positions around Lyman in Donbas.  🔗  🔗

Donald Trump also announced an agreement with Vladimir Putin to release more than 300,000 tons of Russian diesel into the American and global market, a move that drew swift reaction from Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO allies. In the Middle East, at least seven people, including an eight year old girl, were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza on the ceasefire anniversary, while more than 100 aid and rights groups said the truce exists only on paper because killings and aid restrictions continue. Yemen saw fighting intensify on two fronts, with Taiz facing renewed siege conditions after Houthi advances cut key roads, and government forces pushing toward Bab al Mandeb in an offensive the UN warned could worsen the conflict.
