Germany's foreign intelligence chief has warned that the country could be drawn into a violent conflict with Russia as tensions rise over what he described as a shadow war against European democracies. Martin Jaeger, who heads the Bundesnachrichtendienst, said the confrontation with Moscow had taken on a new and more dangerous dimension.
