EU selects 46 strategic raw materials projects across 16 member states
The European Commission on Friday announced 46 new strategic projects across 16 EU member states to bolster supplies of critical raw materials, diversify sourcing and reduce dependence on external suppliers. The selection was announced in Brussels. The projects are tied to the EU's Critical Raw Materials Act targets for 2030, which seek to ensure that EU capacity covers at least 10 percent of annual consumption through extraction, 40 percent through processing and 25 percent through recycling of strategic raw materials.
