Hurricane Isaias has strengthened into a Category 3 storm as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico, with forecasters warning that it could reach the US Gulf Coast later on Friday or early on Saturday. The National Hurricane Center said the system was packing winds of more than 193 km/h (120 mph) and was expected to continue strengthening during the day.
