Northern Ireland police have contacted Sinn Fein representatives as part of an investigation into protests that blocked an Orange Order parade from marching through Garvaghy Road. The party said a number of its representatives and members had received correspondence from police. Three unionist parties in Northern Ireland have backed a motion of no confidence in First Minister Michelle O'Neill amid a prolonged dispute over a parade route in Portadown. Separate no-confidence motions have also been tabled against Finance Minister John O'Dowd, Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald and Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins.
